Bizarre Baby Born With One Eye.

You must be advised that the images we have are not for the faint of heart, and you might find their content shocking. Come to think of it, a baby born with only one eye, is indeed shocking and tragic at the same time. This strange condition is known under the medical term of cyclopia, or, as a more general diagnosis, this poor baby boy suffered from Cyclop, a term which reunites more than just one abnormality. This particular case is that of a baby born in India, and the medical team that delivered him stated that the baby’s condition was brought on by the anti-cancer drugs which wee taken by the infant’s mother while she was pregnant. The drugs caused severe chromosomal problems which led to genetic and congenital malformations of the fetus.

Unfortunately, the baby died shortly after birth, due to the severe malformations in his heart and lungs. What’s even more tragic is the fact that due to industrial pollution, more and more cases of babies born with cyclopia are encountered in medical practice.

In the pictures below, you can see two babies with suffering brought on by “the cyclop”, both died shortly after birth and one of them, has a huge eye, but no nose.

The baby below is another case of one-eyed-baby, during the pregnancy, an ultrasound exam revealed that the baby had hydrocephalia, an accumulation of water in the brain cavity. The medical team wanted to perform an intrauterine shunting procedure, but, due to the advanced stage of her term, they couldn’t perform the procedure.
